1,237,158. Pyrrolidyl-propionyl-benzodioxane derivative preparation. INSTITUT TOXIKOLOGII MINISTERSTVA ZDRAVOOKHRANENIA S.S.S.R. 31 July, 1969, No. 38403/69. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] # - (3<SP>1</SP> - Phenyl - pyrrolidyl - 1<SP>1</SP>) - 6 - propionyl-benzo-1,4-dioxan HC1 is prepared by reacting 3-phenylpyrrolidine, 6-acetyl-benzo- 1,4-dioxan and paraform in molar ratio 1:1: 2À6 in the presence of HCl in alcoholic soln. at 60-120‹ C., rendering the reaction mixture alkaline after removal of unreacted 6-acetylbenzo-1,4-dioxan, recrystallizing the base from ether and reacting the recrystallized base with alcoholic HCl.
