Abstract
123,766. Salto, S. Feb. 28, 1918, [Convention date]. Electro-magnetic switches; switches partly electro-magnetic.-In an alternating current overload limit switch, the switch is held open by a coil b supplied at a lower voltage than the main voltage. The switch is opened on an overload either by a thermal device or by a coil a in the main circuit. The coil b is connected to the secondary of a transformer 10, the circuit being completed either direct to the transformer or through the consuming devices; in the latter case, as some of the consuming devices are switched out after an overload, the resulting lowering of the current through the coil b immediately allows the switch to close. An adjustable plate 21 in a slot 22 in the magnet may be used to vary the magnetic circuit. The stop 20 for the armature is adjustable.
