1,251,360. Fishing rod attachment. D. L. DARKIN. 12 Dec., 1969 [26 Feb., 1969], No. 60797/69. Divided out of 1,251,359. Heading A1A. A rod fitting for attaching a fishing reel comprises a sleeve 1 with shaped ends, slidable along the stock of the rod, said stock having similar end shaped collars 5a and 5b attached thereto so that abutment of sleeve 1 against either collar causes it to take up radial alignment with respect to the stock as the shaped ends matingly fit. Sleeve 1 may be clamped in position by thumbscrew 6b pushing disc 6d against said stock via clamp boss 6a. Reinforcing strip 6f may be used to prevent severe localizing of clamp pressure on stock. Surrounding sleeve 1 is a reel foot holder 3 and clampable holder 4 of the kind disclosed in Specification 1,251,359.
