Abstract

1341979 Hanging articles on walls E HOFFMANN 10 Nov 1971 [10 Nov 1970] 52275/71 Heading A4V [Also in Divisions G4-6] A panel 10 is repeatedly attachable to a wall or blackboard by a strip 12 which consists of an adhesive strip 14 having one surface adhered to the panel, and a peelable protective strip 16, which is subdivided by lines 32 of perforations or weakness and form a projecting finger grip 22 which is pulled and folded downwards to expose a desired length of adhesive surface on the strip 14 for securing to the wall or blackboard. The strip 14, the greater portion of which is above the centre of gravity of the panel, may have an adhesive coating (18), (20) of similar strength on each side, lacquer 26 being applied to smooth the back of the panel so that the strip adheres more strongly to the panel than to the wall, or a strip having an adhesive coating on only one side may be secured to the panel by a coating of higher strength adhesive applied thereto. In a further modification a metal clip 28 secures the strip 12 to the panel, a second finger tab 30 being provided for utilization of the lower part of the adhesive strip.
