Abstract
142,425. Brown, A. A. Jan. 20, 1920. Trousers.-Ready-made trousers are readily altered to suit different waist measurements by providing a back seam 9, Fig. 1, the edges of which are stitched down at 12 but can be unstitched and re-fastened closer together as shown in Fig. 3 so as to give greater fullness to the waist. The waist lining consists of two parts B and B<1> which can be unstitched at the back in the same way as the seam, thus avoiding cutting. The waist lining has a stiffener 1, Fig. 8, and a row of stitches 5 covered inside by a loop 6 of lining material 2.
