Abstract

1441439 Aqueous polyurethane compositions MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 25 Sept 1973 [26 Sept 1972] 44925/73 Heading C3 [Also in Division D2] An aqueous slurry used for forming a leatherlike material comprises a suspension of particulate, anionic, elastomeric polyurethane, polythiourethane, polyurethane urea or polyurea latex solids and cationic solids comprising up to 70% by wt. of wood flour particles, said particles being rendered cationic at least on their surfaces and at least 30% by wt. of chrome tanned leather fibres. In an example, a waterlaid sheet is prepared from an aqueous slurry of chrometanned leather fibres, cationised wood flour, and polyurethane-urea solids.
