Abstract

1464355 Moulding tyres VSES N I INST REZINOTEKHNICHE MASHINOSTROENIA 31 July 1975 32003/75 Heading B5A A row of tyre moulds is associated with a wheeled frame 2 driven longitudinally of the row and carrying a mould opening and closing mechanism and means for loading green tyres into the bottom sections of each mould. The mechanism includes a beam 13 extending longitudinally of the row with wrenches 25, one for each mould, for raising and lowering the top sections of each mould. The beam is moved vertically and transversely of the row in L- shaped guideways 16 by crank wheels 14 and connecting rods 15 at the frame sides in association with the cam guides 24 and followers 23. The tyre loading means includes a wheeled carriage 32 movable transversely of the row in guideways 33, Fig. 4, and supporting green tyre holders 35 vertically driven by means, not shown. The sides 38 of the carriage have slots 39 each engaged by two followers 40 attached to the beam 13 whereby the beam and carriage move together transversely of the row and the beam moves vertically independently of the carriage. As shown, a pair of moulds are opened together, fed with green tyres and then closed by the apparatus carried by the frame whereupon the frame moves to the next mould pair in the row. Each wrench 25 has a bayonet type connection with each upper mould section, and when the beam is lowered each wrench is turned, by means not shown, to connect with the section, The green tyre holders 35 are rotated to align their axes with those of the bottom mould sections.
