Moulding-machines; treating mould materials. - A machine for filling moulds has a longitudinally elongated sand reservoir 30, a vibrated screen 65 and an elevator 77 discharging to a pivoted projector 108 mounted on a truck 20 propelled through a two-speed gear. The reservoir 30, with pivoted gate 45 adjusted through gearing 50, 51, 52 from a handle 48, is closed at the bottom by a slat-conveyer 33 discharging to the screen 65 mounted on spring-arms 67, 68 and vibrated from an eccentric. The sand falls to a chamber 18, is agitated by rotary arms on the shaft 61 and is raised by the elevator 77. This latter is kept taut by a spring-presed lever 80 and discharges to a hopper 85. A conveyer 111 leads the sand to a conveyer 110 feding the projector 108. The truck is propelled by a reversible motor, within a casing, which drives the wheels 16 through a ratchet gear for slow speed and through toothed gearing for high speed. An electromotor drives an eccentric on the shaft 61 actuating a pawl 58 and ratchet-wheel 57 on the slat conveyer shaft, and vibrates the screen through an eccentric 73.
