Abstract
A urine filter or catheter 1 formed from a soft, pliable, transparent material for insertion into the urethra of the penis or vagina to provide comfort for a patient during surgical operations. Preferably the catheter 1 has a smooth aperture 2 at either end to prevent rupture and bleeding to the lining of the urethra and to prevent infection. The catheter 1 may be 76 centimetres long. The catheter 1 may dispense with the need for antibiotics and helps the patient recover more quickly.
Description

URINE FILTER

TIlE INVENTION RELATES TO A NEW IMPROVED CONCEPT TO THE FIELD OF MEDICAL DEVICES, CALLED THE URiNE FILTER, A CATHETER FOR THE USE DURING SURGICAL PROCEEDURE.

WHEN SURGICAL OPERATIONS TAKE PLACE A URINE FILTER THAT IS USED IS

THICK IN WIDTH, ROUGH AND JAGGARD AT BOTH ENDS AND MADE OF A HARDENED PLASTIC.

THIS OFTEN CAUSES CONSIDERABLE PAIN WHEN INSERTED INTO THE URETHA

OPENNING OF THE VAGINA OR PENIS AND RUPTURES TO THE LINING OF THE

URETHA CAN OCCOUR WHICH IN TURN CAN CAUSE BLEEDING AND

INFECTION, INCREASED IRRITATION, PAIN, DISCOMFORT THEREBY SLOWING

DOWN THE HEALING PROCESS AND POSSIBLY REQUIRING THE USE OF

ANTIBIOTICS TO FIGHT INFECTION. IN GENERAL, IT IS PREFERABLE TO AVOID

THE USE OF ANTIBIOTICS WHENEVER POSSIBLE AS THEIR REPEATED USE CAN

ACTUALLY WEAKEN A PERSONS IMMUNE SYSTEM, CAUSE RESISTANT STRAINS OF VIRUS TO DEVELOP, AND THUS RESULT IN THE NEED FOR EVEN STRONGER ANTIBIOTICS TO FIGHT FUTURE INFECTIONS. LENGTHENING THE

STAY IN HOSPITAL TO MORE THAN IS REQUIRED LEAVES THE PATIENT MORE

VUNERABLE TO CONTRACTING OTHER INFECTIONS AND DISEASES THAT MAY

BE PRESENT IN THE HOSPiTAL, THIS IN TURN WILL PROLONG ILLNESS INSTEAD OF WELLNESS.

TO OVERCOME THIS, THE PRESENT INVENTION PROPOSES A REDUCED WIDTH,

SOFTER PLIABLE TRANSPARENT PLASTIC MATERIAL FORMED WITH ROUNDED

SMOOTHER EDGES AT BOTH ENDS OF TUBE 30 INCHES (76cm) LONG.

THE URINE FILTER WILL PROVIDE EASY INSERTION WITHOUT RUPTURE TO

THE URETHA WALL BECAUSE OF THE ROUNDED CURVATURE TO CREATE A

SMOOTH SURFACE AT BOTH ENDS OF THE TRANSPARENT TUBE AND THE

URINE CAN EASILY BE SEEN FILTERING URINE THROUGH THE TUBE FROM THE

PATIENT URETHA. THIS THEN WOULD RESULT IN LESS PAIN UPON INSERTION

INTO THE URETHA AND REDUCE THE RISK OF RUPTURE TO THE URENARY

TRACT. RISK OF INFECTION WOULD BE LOWERED AND THE PATIENT WOULD ENJOY A MORE COMFORTABLE AND FASTER RECOVERY PROCESS.

AN EXAMPLE OF THE INVENTION WILL NOW BE DESCRIBED BY REFERRING TO

THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING; IMAGE ONE SHOWS; THE PLIABLE URETHA TUBE 1.

PERFECTLY SMOOTH APERTURE 2.

Claims (1)
-
CLAIMS

1. A URINE FILTER ThAT IS FORMED FROM SOFT PLIABLE

TRANSPARENT MATERIAL FOR THE INSERTION TO THE URETHA OF THE

PENIS OR VAG[NA FOR SURGICAL OPERATIONS TO PROVIDE COMFORT FOR THE PATIENT.

2. A URINE FILTER WITH A PERFECTLY SMOOTH APERTURE AT EITHER END OF A 30 INCH CATHETER TUBE TO PREVENT RUPTURE AND BLEEDING TO THE LINING OF THE URETHA AND TO PREVENT INFECTION.

3. A URINE FILTER THAT WOULD MAKE IT NOT NECESSARY TO TAKE

ANTIBIOTICS THAT CAN CAUSE WEEKNESS TO THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

AND HAVING TO TAKE A FURTHER STRONGER ANTIBIOTIC THAT OFTEN

IS NECCESSARY BECAUSE THE FIRST ANTIBIOTICS HAVE STRIPPED THE

IMMUNE SYSTEM.

4. A URiNE FILTER WHICH IN EFFECT WOULD PROVIDE COMFORT AND

ENHANCE QUICKER RECOVERY FOR THE PATIENT
