Abstract

259,727. Fletcher, J. E., and Hingley & Sons, Ltd., N. Sept. 2, 1925. Chain coupling.-In coupling-links of the kind comprising an open C-shaped piece 1 adapted to be closed by a T-shaped piece 2, 3, of which the part 3 forms the stud of the link, the parts are secured together by cotter pins 6 inserted into holes formed partly in each piece, as shown. The stud 3 terminates in a short nipple 10 seated in a corresponding recess in the part 1. A passage 13 enables a punch to be inserted for separating the parts after the cotter pins have been removed.
