Abstract

683,050. Spray-producers. LOWELL SPECIALTY CO. Feb. 23, 1951 [April 15, 1950], No. 4488/51. Class 69 (iii). A hand-operated sprayer includes a pump cylinder 2 with a plunger 8, the cylinder having an inner cap 16 with an air outlet 20, an intermediate cap or wall 24 and an outer cap 23, the caps 24, 23 being provided with a row of axially aligned orifices 33, 34. On reciprocation of the pump, air is forced from the outlet 20 and through the aligned orifices 33, 34, and liquid is thereby drawn from a container 28 through a tube 29 to a chamber provided between the caps 23, 24 and sprayed from the orifices 34. The latter are larger than the orifices 33, and the liquid jets intersect.
