Abstract

802,494. Making hair clips. JARRETT, RAINSFORD & LAUGHTON, Ltd. March 26, 1957 [March 28, 1956], No. 9644/56. Class 83 (2). [Also in Groups XIV and XXV] A hair curl clip comprises two spring-closed, metal, hair-gripping limbs hinged together and having finger extensions beyond the hinge which is formed by cutting lugs, directed towards each other, in each limb and bending the lugs to lie in side-by-side, spaced relationship normal to the hinge axis, the lugs of one limb having projections pivotally engaging holes or depressions in the lugs of the other limb. As shown, lugs 8, 9 cut in limbs 1, 2, as shown in Fig. 7, have interengaging projections and depressions 10, 12 forming a mounting for a coil spring 7. A guard tongue 14 prevents displacement of the spring 7. Specification 793,909, [Group XXV], is referred to.
