Abstract

823,402. Magnetic compositions. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. June 29, 1956 [June 30, 1955], No. 20260/56. Addition to 803,625. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (2). The process of making the cores forming the subject of the parent Specification, includes the step of cooling them in a steady magnetic field. The rate of cooling may be between 10‹ and 50‹ C. per hour and the strength of the field may be such as to produce a magnetising force of 10 Oersteds inside the core. The magnetic field may be present during the cooling after sintering and/or after annealing at the Curie point. The cores exhibit rectangular hysteresis loops in the direction of that magnetic field, and narrow hysteresis loops with low retentivities at right angles to the magnetic field.
