Abstract

931,237. Steelyards. S. H. MORGAN, [trading as C. MORGAN & SONS]. Jan. 19, 1962, No. 2004/62. Class 143. In a steelyard for weighing in more than one system, two or more scales, e.g. avoirdupois and metric, are provided on a single bar pivoted on its longitudinal axis so that a particular scale can be rotated into weighing position by a knob at the end of the bar. In the form shown, the bar is provided on opposite sides with different scales and with notches corresponding to the scales on the reverse sides which are engaged by a nib extending from a sliding weight H. The arm is rotated by a knob A and is provided with a locking device B. A minor poise of tapered cylindrical shape is provided.
