Abstract

940,077. Mops; handles. PRESTIGE GROUP Ltd. April 18, 1962 [April 25, 1961], No. 14956/61. Heading A4F. In a mop or like head a plastics backing member is secured to a rigid base and is provided with opposed recesses arranged to receive hinged members 13, 14 of a carrier plate 12 to secure the head to the carrier plate. The recesses are formed by a lip 32 projecting inwardly at each corner from an upright peripheral flange on the backing member. In an alternative embodiment the backing member comprises a rigid element to which is secured metal plates formed with upright flanges terminating in inwardly extending lips to provide said recesses. Specification 932,579 is referred to.
