Abstract

972,773. Pipe supports. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. March 10, 1961 [March 11, 1960], No. 8605/60: Heading F2P. [Also in Division H2] A conduit of resilient material for cables or pipes comprises a base portion 10 and a plurality of spring-fingers 12 extending therefrom which bear against a portion of the conduit (as shown, a similar finger) to enclose the cable or pipe, which is inserted by springing apart the fingers 12a, 12b. The fingers may, Fig. 4, rest against the base portion 41. Cables or pipes may be led out through gaps 13 between the fingers and when the construction of Fig. 1 is employed, clip portions underneath the base 10 may clip around or into a mounting means. The conduit may be made of sheet metal or thermoplastic material.
