Abstract

972,778. Strap handles. HELLERMANN Ltd. Sept. 11, 1963 [Sept. 28, 1962], No. 36968/62. Heading A4G. A strap handled, formed of a metal strip 22 covered with plastics material 23, has means for attaching it to an article comprising a socketed boss 24 having a hollow stem 25 passing through a strap hole and a backing member 26 around which it is swaged, the socket receiving a pin 18 secured to e.g. a case 12, a circlip 28 received in complementary grooves 20, 27 retaining the strap but permitting it to swivel and to be removed from the pin. Co-acting ridge and groove may replace the circlip and various caps may cover the socket, boss and strap end.
