Abstract

972,788. Packaging. ALLIANCE BOX CO. Ltd. Oct. 11, 1963 [Oct. 22, 1962], No. 39817/62. Headings B8C and B8P. A packaging means for cups and saucers comprises a blank having a base 1 on which the saucer 4 rests (Figs. 1 and 3), a tapered side wall 2 hinged to the base and a tapered side wall 8 attached to the base by a tongue 10 which fits in a slot 6 of a flap 5. The side walls have slots 3 and 9 therein which receive the edge of the saucer and are interconnected by a top wall 7. The top wall has tapered flaps 11, 12 which are introduced into a cup 13. A piece of corrugated paper is placed between the cup and saucer, and the blank may be of corrugated paper or fibre board.
