A connector for joining a pair of conductors comprises a member 10 having a tubular recess 12 formed with an aperture 18 in its wall to receive one of the conductors 17, and a member 11 formed with an aperture 22 to receive the other conductor 21, one member being formed with a groove 19 or both formed with cooperating grooves shaped to bring the conductor ends into contact on relative sliding engagement of members 10 and 11.
