Abstract

1. Technical Result Production of plants resistant to root knot nematode. 2. Essence In the plants infested with root knot nematode identification is made of a gene which is expressed only in the giant cells of plants roots and/or in the accompanied hypertrophied cells, the promoter of the marked gene is isolated and associated with a sequence which encodes a molecule inimical to nematode infection. A plant is transformed with the so constructed chimaeric gene. 3. Field of Application Agriculture, plants protection.
