Abstract
Σύστημα ελεγχόμενης απελευθέρωσης, διάχυσης, βιολογικώς δραστικών πτητικών ουσιών, το οποίο αποτελείται από ένα ομοιογενές διάλυμα του δραστικού συστατικού σ' ένα οργανικό φορέα, στερεό σε θερμοκρασία περιβάλλοντος κλεισμένο αεροστεγώς σε ειδικό περιβλημα. Το δραστικό συστατικό είναι οποιαδήποτε πτητική οργανική ουσία με βιολογική δράση και κύριως φερομόνη. Ο φορέας είναι οργανική ένωση στερεή σε θερμοκρασία περιβάλλοντος σε σημείο τήξεως 40-120 βαθμούς κελσίου και κυρίως 60-70 βαθμούς κελσίου π.χ. παραφίνη, φυσικος ή συνθετικός κηρός, πολυαιθυλενογλυκόλες, μόνο-δι- και τριγλυκερίδια αλειφατικών οξέων, σιλικόνες κ.λ.π., ή μίγματα αυτών. Το περίβλημα είναι συνήθως πλαστικό (PVC πολυαιθυλένιο κ.λ.π.) αλλά μπορεί να είναι και φιαλίδιο από γυαλί ή μέταλλο με κατάλληλο πώμα. Η απελευθέρωση, διάχυση, του δραστικού συστατικού γίνεται από μικρή οπή μεγέθους καρφίτσας στο πλαστικό περίβλημα ή στο πώμα του φιαλιδίου. ω
