Abstract

Μία σύνθεση που περιέχει ιόν φθοριου, η οποία είναι δυνατόν να ληφθεί από το στόμα και είναι ελεύθερη φθόρωσης, που περιλαμβάνει ένα μίγμα φαρμακευτικώς αποδεκτού φθοριούχου και μονοφθοροφωσφορικού σε αναλογία βάρους για να παρέχει όχι περισσότερο από περίπου πενήντα τοις εκατό και κατά προτίμηση όχι περισσότερο από περίπου 25 τοις εκατό διαθέσιμου ιοντος φθορίου από το φθοριούχο και το υπόλοιπο από το μονοφθορφωσφορικό. Η σύνθεση μπορεί να περιέχει επιπλέον φαρμακευτικώς αποδεκτά πρόσθετα όπως βιταμίνες, χρωματιστικά, αρωματικά, έκδοχα, σταθεροποιητές, συντηρητικά, φάρμακ και τα παρόμοια και μπορεί να είναι στη μορφή σκόνης, δισκίου, καψουλας, καψακίου ή υγρού σε κατάλληλο καταπινόμενο φορέα. Προτιμώμενες ενώσεις είναι φθοριούχα και μονοφθοροφωσφορικά, αλκαλιμετάλλου, αμμωνίου και αμίνης. Πλέον προτιμώμενες ενώσεις είναι φθοριούχο νάτριο (NaF) και μονοφθοροφωσφορικό νάτριο (MFP) του οποίου ο συντακτικός τύπος είναι Na2FPO3 και τα αντίστοιχα άλατα καλίου. Οι συνθέσεις είναι ειδικώς προσαρμοσμένες για χρήση σαν διαιτητικό συμπλήρωμα γι ανα παρέχουν ουσιαστικώς στιγμιαία χαμηλή δοσολογία ιόντος φθορίου από την φθοριούχο ένωση κατά την κατάποση και βραδεία παρατεταμένη απελευθέρωση ιόντος φθορίου από το μονοφθοροφωσφορικό. ω
