Έλικας μεταβλητού βήματος (4) τοποθετείται στο πρυμναίο τμήμα του πλοίου πίσω από το πηδάλιο (3) του πλοίου ο οποίος στηρίζεται σε βάση στήριξης (5) παίρνει κίνηση απο τα απόνερα της προπέλας ώθησης (2) του πλοίου μεταδίδει την κίνηση μέσω αξόνων και γραναζιών (6) (10) στην γεννήτρια (7) η οποία συνδέεται με ηλεκτρικό πίνακα (9) ο οποίος μέσω του υδραυλικού συστήματος μετακίνησης του έλικα ρυθμίζει και ελέγχει την παραγωγή ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας σύμφωνα με τις ανάγκες του πλοίου.ΰ
