Abstract

his construction in question is composed of the arcuated front sign, the rear surface made of whatever flexible material, a particular tensioning and supporting mechanism, and vertical decorative columns. The front is illuminated by lamps (e.g. fluorescent lamps) placed inside the sign, while a thin transparent flexible material applied to the front and rear part of the arcuated sign - which, due to its shape, is vividly distinguishable from the street- is due to illuminate the decorative backside; this leads to the illumination of several surfaces. By placing, behind the front sign the flexible surface, an artistic background is created on the front of the store, while, simultaneously, possible imperfections of the glass paneling (cables etc) are concealed; the glass paneling is provided with a special tensioning mechanism (provided either with pipes or a frame) and is supported by an original mechanism with ring spacers, the ring of which accommodates the movement of the surfaces they support. Vertical decorative advertising columns of any material form a visual continuation of the front decoration, and they can receive inside -if made of transparent material- lamps, or be illuminated -if made of translucent material- by whatever external lighting source; said vertical columns are supported by the mechanism of spring-equipped spacers.
