Το ρεύμα που ρέει στους γειωμένους έλικες (δεύτερο, τρίτο, τέταρτο) κάνει περισσότερο ηλεκτρομαγνητική σύζευξη προς τον κεντρικό έλικα (πρώτο) ενώ ο κεντρικός έλικας εκπέμπει ακτινοβολία περισσότερη και λιγότερη σύζευξη προς τις άλλες κεραίες επιτυγχάνεται. Απομόνωση της πηγής επιτυγχάνεται διότι σύζευξη η ακτινοβολία μεταξύ των κεραιών επιτυγχάνεται.
