Abstract

Μέθοδος και σύστημα για την καταγραφή και υποβοήθηση της αναγέννησης περιφερικών νεύρων μετά από τραυματισμό που περιλαμβάνουν ένα ηλεκτρόδιο διέγερσης που εμφυτεύεται στο κεντρικό τμήμα του νεύρου, τουλάχιστον ένα ηλεκτρόδιο καταγραφής που εμφυτεύεται στο περιφερικό τμήμα του νεύρου, μία εμφυτεύσιμη ηλεκτρονική μονάδα, μία εμφυτεύσιμη συσκευή απελευθέρωσης παραγόντων διέγερσης της αναγέννησης, όπως είναι μία μίκρο-αντλία, και μία υπολογιστική μονάδα που τοποθετείται κατά προτίμηση εξωσωματικά για την μεταφορά δεδομένων και ενέργειας στην ηλεκτρονική μονάδα. Τα ηλεκτρικά σήματα που παράγονται από το περιφερικό τμήμα του τραυματισμένου νεύρου, μετά από κατάλληλη ηλεκτρική διέγερση του κεντρικού τμήματος του, καταγράφονται σε διάφορες χρονικές στιγμές. Η ανάλυση των καταγεγραμμένων ηλεκτρικών σημάτων χρησιμοποιείται για την εκτίμηση της κατάστασης και προόδου των αναγεννούμενων νευραξόνων από την οποία εκτίμηση προσδιορίζονται διάφορες παράμετροι ελέγχου. Οι αναφερθείσες παράμετροι χρησιμοποιούνται από την ηλεκτρονική μονάδα με σκοπό να ρυθμίσει την απελευθέρωση των παραγόντων διέγερσης κατά τρόπο ώστε η θεραπεία να είναι αποδοτική διατηρώντας παράλληλα τη χορήγηση των παραγόντων σε ασφαλή επίπεδα.
