Abstract
Over the last 25 years pressure pipe systems made from PP-R (polypropylene ethylene random copolymer) have been widely adopted by the plumping and heating jndustry in numerous countries around the world. The multilayered pipe of the present invention includes at least two (2) up to five (5) layers and most preferable three (3) layers. These layers are consisted of: component (A) that is different kinds of polypropylene such as PP-RCT and its copolymers or PP-B copolymer and with any possible combination of these materials, component (B) as interlayer enhancer that is modified polypropylene graft copolymers with reactive groups added to different layers with any possible combination at different layers or as mixtures to the same layer appropriate to react each other acting as interlayer adhesives bonding strongly the different layers each other or to react with nanoparticles and fillers that added to the layers acting as filler dispersers and interfacial bonding additives, component (C) is an additive in the form of nanoparticles containing surface reactive groups, and component (D) as fillers in the form of short glass fibers or carbon nanotubes containing surface reactive groups.
