ήμα αποτελεούμενον έκ διμερών ινων πολυμερούς ακρυλονιτρυλίου τα συστατικά του οποίου παρουσιάζουν διαφοράν συστολής από 5-20% και ουσιαστικώς τάς αυτάς υδροφίλους ιδιότητας του νήματος το οποίον αποκτά εντός ύδατος 200 βαθμούς Fογκώδες υπό θλίψιν τουλάχιστιον 6,0 κυβ.εκ./γραμ. μετρούμενον υπό φορτίον 18 γραμ./ίντσαν νήματος του έν λόγω ογκώδους θλίψεως διατηρούμενου είς το αυτό επίπεδον, ήτοι είς το επίπεδον τουλάχισιτον των 6,0 κυβ-εκ./γραμ. όταν υποβάλλεται είς δυνάμεις δημιουργουμένας έκ της επανειλημμένης εμβαπτίσεως του νήματος εντός ύδατος είς 200 βαθμούς F.
