Claims (3)
- Procédé pour la transmission d'une série d'images d'une scène vidéo de mouvement dans lequel chaque image est convertie à l'aide d'un algorithme de codage en un bloc de données d'image comprenant tant d'informations numériques que chaque pixel de l'image puisse être reconstruit, caractérisé en ce que les images de la série sont soumises à un processus de codage hiérarchisé dans lequel la série originale d'images peut être considérée comme un nombre de sous-séries imbriquées ayant un ordre de classement croissant et dans lequel les images d'une ou de plusieurs sous-séries ayant un ordre de classement inférieur sont considérées pour coder une image d'une sous-série et en ce qu'un en-tête de paquet indiquant l'ordre de classement de la sous-série à laquelle l'image correspondante est associée est ajouté à chaque bloc de données d'image.
- Appareil d'affichage d'une scène vidéo de mouvement dont les images composites sont chacune converties en blocs de données d'image selon le procédé de la revendication 1, ledit appareil étant à même de recevoir les blocs de données d'image, de stocker pour chaque pixel un mot de code correspondant à la couleur dudit pixel, de reproduire les mots de code stockés dans la séquence d'affichage souhaitée, de convertir les mots de code reproduits en signaux analogiques à afficher sur un écran d'affichage, caractérisé en ce que ledit appareil est, en outre, à même de sélectionner, parmi les blocs de données d'image reçus, les blocs de données d'image qui ont des en-têtes de paquets prédéterminés et de soumettre les blocs de données d'image ainsi sélectionnés à un processus de décodage hiérarchisé pour générer lesdits mots de code.
- Disque lisible optiquement sur lequel une série d'images d'une scène vidéo de mouvement sont stockées sous la forme d'une série de blocs de données d'image obtenus selon le procédé de la revendication 1.
