Claims (10)

  1. Verfahren zur Verringerung der Reibung zwischen einem Eisenbahnrad und einer Eisenbahnschiene, umfassend das Aufbringen einer Zusammensetzung auf die Eisenbahnschiene, wobei die Zusammensetzung ein überbasisches nicht-Newtonsches kolloidales disperses System enthält, umfassend
    (1) feste metallhaltige kolloidale Teilchen, die vordispergiert sind in
    (2) einem Dispersionsmedium aus mindestens einer inerten organischen Flüssigkeit und
    (3) mindestens einer organischen Verbindung, die im wesentlichen in dem Dispersionsmedium löslich ist, wobei die Moleküle der organischen Verbindung dadurch gekennzeichnet sind, daß sie polare Substituenten und hydrophobe Anteile aufweisen.
  2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei die festen metallhaltigen kolloidalen Teilchen des Systems eine mittlere Einheitsteilchengröße von bis zu 5 µm haben.
  3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei die festen metallhaltigen kolloidalen Teilchen des Systems eine zahlengemittelte Einheitsteilchengröße von bis zu 2,0 µm aufweisen und wobei mehr als 80 % der Zahl der festen metallhaltigen Teilchen des Systems eine Einheitsteilchengröße von weniger als 5,0 µm haben.
  4. Verfahren nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die festen metallhaltigen kolloidalen Teilchen Alkalimetallsalze umfassen.
  5. Verfahren nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die festen metallhaltigen kolloidalen Teilchen ein oder mehrere Erdalkalimetallacetate, -formiate, -carbonate, -sulfide, -sulfite, -sulfate, -thiosulfate oder -halogenide umfassen.
  6. Verfahren nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Bestandteil (3) mindestens ein Erdalkalimetallsalz einer Petrosulfonsäure, einer mit aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen mono-, di-, oder trisubstituierten Arylsulfonsäure, oder einer Carbonsäure umfaßt.
  7. Verfahren nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Zusammensetzung, die ein überbasisches nicht-Newtonsches kolloidales disperses System umfaßt, weiterhin ein Newtonsches überbasisches Material umfaßt.
  8. Verfahren nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Zusammensetzung, die ein überbasisches Material umfaßt, weiterhin ein Hochdruckhilfsmittel umfaßt.
  9. Verfahren nach Anspruch 8, wobei das Hochdruckmittel das Umsetzungsprodukt einer direkten Sulfidierung von mindestens einer Fettsäure und mindestens einem α-Olefin umfaßt.
  10. Schienenschmiersystem, umfassend einen Applikator für ein Schienenschmiermittel, der eine Schmiermittelzusammensetzung enthält, wobei die Schmiermittelzusammensetzung ein überbasisches nicht-Newtonsches kolloidales disperses System nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche umfaßt.
