The invention relates to a bag for packaging, storing and transporting vegetables and fruits. The bag according to the invention is suitable for storing various vegetables and fruits in appropriate sorting, grouping or by weight, displaying them on customer counters and in shop windows, and thus facilitates the purchase process for both the seller and the buyer.

Bags of a similar nature, in which vegetables or fruits are stored and sold, have been known for a long time and are usually made of mesh material, woven or non-woven plastic or textile material and, where appropriate, certain parts of them are provided with labels made of paper or plastic film, on which the name of the goods, weight, the seller's logo, etc. can be indicated.

The disadvantage of most known bags is that the bag is incorrectly sealed and the labels are attached, which often results in the mesh breaking during transport and serious difficulties for the buyer due to the scattering of the purchased product.

With the present invention, we aim to eliminate the above disadvantage and to create a bag that can be used well for the above purposes.

The object is achieved by a bag consisting of a tubular mesh, preferably woven from synthetic material, and a strip, at least in part, flexible, thin and also preferably made of synthetic material, where the strip is arranged at least on one side of the mesh and is attached to the mesh at its edges along two vertical welding lines, and further has two transverse welding lines forming the bottom and top of the bag, and a third transverse welding line delimiting a strip forming or carrying a handle, where the handle is one or more openings or welded tabs.

The bag thus formed is extremely resistant and perfectly encloses the product inside thanks to the tubular mesh, which is covered on the sides by the tapes. Once the mesh is filled and sealed, it is easy to handle, store and transport.

The bag is held by the welded tab or, if applicable, the openings in the upper band, so that it can be moved safely.

The figures show the tubular design of the net 1 forming the bag according to the invention, which is initially flat in the empty state, when two opposite sides 2 and 3 are formed. Strong, flexible strip sections 4 and 5 are attached to these sides 2 and 3. These are preferably plastic films and are located on both sides of the net 1. They are attached at the edges of the strip sections 4 and 5 by vertical welding lines 6 and 7, and by transverse welding lines 8 and 9 at the top and bottom of the net 1.

Before forming the vertical sealing lines 6 and 7, the edges are folded back towards the inside of the bag using the manufacturing equipment.

Parallel to the transverse weld seam 8, a further weld seam 10 is formed in the upper part of the net 1, thus forming a strip 11 that helps in gripping. The bag can be gripped in several ways. One possibility is to weld a tab 12 to the strip 11. Another possibility is, for example, to form openings 13 in the strip 11 that allow the bag to be gripped. The openings 13 shown in Figure 2 are oval.

Figure 3 shows the bag according to the invention in a filled state, in a side view. Here it can be seen that the back bending formed during production, as well as the natural elasticity of the mesh 1, allows the bag 1 to stretch and accommodate a sufficient amount of vegetables or fruits.

In another preferred embodiment of the bag according to the invention, the strip section 4 is arranged on only one side of the mesh 1.

Of course, the embodiment shown is only intended to illustrate the invention, and numerous other variations may be made within the scope of protection defined by the appended patent claims.
