Abstract

The hose is made from polyethylene or ethylene co-polymer extrusion and provided with a space netting. It is then passed through a bath with a temp. near to the crystalline melting pt. of the hose material. As the hose emerges from the bath it is enclosed by two pairs of rollers and inflated. It is expanded continuously and its expansion is controlled by elements set up parallel to its direction of movement or at an angle to it.
