Abstract
Prepn. comprises propagation in aerobic conditions on nutrient contg. assimilable carbon and nitrogen sources of a strain of the microorganism Streptomyces noursei albidus, selected by growth on selective culture media after having been exposed to mutagenic action. Subsequently the antibiotic produced is sepd. from the fermentation liquor.
