Abstract
The insulating material consists of a layer comprising min. 1-1.5 wt.% sodium fluorosilicate and 30-60 wt.% sodium silicate on one side and expanding flue-dust and/or glass sand on the other side and a protective layer of ceramic sand. The heat resistant material is prepd. usually from asbestos. Application in thermal installations, e.g. furnaces, chimneys, etc.
