Abstract
A flame proofing liquid contains 80 vol.% sodium or potassium silicate as an aq. soln. salt, with added 10-20% talc and 0-5.6% graphite. The liquid forms a continuous painted coating on articles to be flame-proofed and is solidified by heat.
