Abstract

The invention relates to a device for the controlled metering of flowable media which reduces a subsequent dripping of the filling material to a minimum while reducing cross-sectional contractions in the piping and conveying system. The device includes a container having a constantly maintained level of the filling material, in which is arranged a bearing- and sealing-free centrifugal pump 14 which has a stopping device for the counter-current braking of its drive motor 11. The centrifugal pump feeds a rising tube having a discharge elbow 17 which has a quadratic cross-section at its entry part which merges into an outlet cross-section having the approximate shape of an isosceles triangle placed on its vertex. <IMAGE>
