Abstract
Mechanical, rheologic and thermal properties by bituminous mixes for road surfacing are modified by addn. of macromolecular cpds. namely a ground polymer mixt. in an amt. 2-60, pref. 8-20 wt.% level and cured rubber crumb in an amt. 2-80 wt.%. Chopped copper or aluminium wire strands in an amt. 20 wt.% level may also be added. These may conveniently be chopped cables. The mixt. is heated at 120-160 deg.C to induce flow and applied to road surfaces.
