Abstract
The effluent from the anion exchanger comprising alkaline metal hydroxides and salts is concentrated to min. 0.6 mol/l (or min. 5 mol/l resin), the NaCl content is adjusted to 10-15 w/w% and the mixt. is passed through the organic matter binding resin. The sulphuric, hydrochloric or acetic acid effluents from the cation exchanger are concentrated to min l mol/l, min 5 mol/l resin, and are similarly passed through an organic resin.
