Abstract
Phosphate based aq. buffer, ensuring a pH of 7.0 +/- 0.5 for the microorganism and allow only K+ and PO43- ions into the system. Dissolution is carried out at 20 deg.C, using a ratio 4 water:1 worm peat, 1:1 mol. 3.3 mmol/l K2HPO4/KH2PO4, by stirring for 1 hour and filtering. When the buffer is added slowly and KOH is added first, followed by KH2PO4, N2 yield is increased.
