Abstract
Novel racemic 13,14-di:de-hydro-berbine-derivs. and acid adduct salts of general formula (I) - where R1 and R2 represent together a methylene-di:oxy gp.; R3 = 1-4C linear- or branched-alkyl gp., are prepd. from a racemic 14-hydroxy cpd. of general formula (II), and from thionyl-chloride, phosphoryl-chloride in anhydrous pyridine, or di:methyl-formamide or from an acetic-acid-ester of cpd. (II) is boiled with anhydrous, acetic-anhydride or formic-acid-ester with formic acid, or sulphonic acid ester of (II) is boiled in an inert solvent. Prod. (I) is opt. converted to its acid adduct salts or the base is liberated from corresponding salts.
