A play ball e.g. for use as a golf ball comprises a core surrounded by a cover, said core consisting of a composition as described and claimed in Specification 1,148,529. The cover may be of the same composition as the core or different e.g. balata, trans and cis polymers of conjugated diolefins and the compositions claimed in Specification 1,087,566. The composition can be formed into the ball core by a variety of moulding techniques e.g. injection compression or transfer moulding and the core itself may consist of two or more portions. The cover may be fixed to the core by a variety of techniques e.g. by adhesives, mechanical interlocking means. [GB1163662A]
