Curtain suspension apparatus which facilitates overlap of adjacent ends of two drawn curtains includes two similar master runners 1 each having two pairs of rollers 2 supported on flanges 20 of a rail 19 and a pair of depending lugs 4, and includes two members 5, 6 secured one to each master runner 1 by screws 28 engaging the lugs 4, each member 5, 6 having a pressed out tongue 14 behind which a drawcord 9 is anchored and apertures 16 to receive curtain hangers and one of the members 6 being U-shaped with a long limb 18 which overlies the other member 5 in the drawn position to ensure curtain overlap. The rollers 2 are supported by projections 8, 13 upstanding from the base 7 of the runner 1. As shown, curtain projections 8 guide the cord 9 to the anchoring tongue 14. [GB1248987A]
