Abstract
1,262,315. Antidiabetic medicines. J. R. GEIGY AG. 14 March, 1969 [14 March, 1968], No. 13514/69. Heading ASB. [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical preparations, particularly suitable in the treatment of diabetes, contain as active ingredient compounds I (including salts thereof) wherein R 1 signifies C, to 4 alkyl, C 3 or 4 alkenyl, C 5 to 7 cycloalkyl or C 5 to 7 cycloalkyl-methyl, R 2 is H, Me or Et and X signifies H, F, Cl, Br, Me, MeO, MeS or MeCO. Sulphonyl - ureas, e.g. 1 - toluenesulphonyln butyl-urea, 1-chlorobenzenesulphonyl-n propylurea and 1-[2-(2-methoxy-5-chlorobenzamido) ethyl]-phenylsulphonyl-cyclohexyl-urea, are included as salt forming components as well as the usual organic and inorganic acids. Administration may be orally or parenterally.
