Abstract

1,240,514. Stockable, collapsible toys. B. M. MARCAN. 29 Sept., 1969 [30 Sept., 1968], No. 46254/68. Heading B8P. A stackable, collapsible tray erected from a blank, e.g. plastic, comprises side walls 2-5 which have a rib 10 provided at each end thereof so that upon tray erection two adjacent ribs 10 abut to form a stacking support. Ribs 12 may be provided on flaps 11 so that the ribs 10, 12 fit one within the other (Fig. 4). The walls may be interconnected by press-fastenings 13, 14 and/or interlocking teeth (Figs. 7, 8) or by tongues and slots (Figs. 5, 6), the tongues passing across the corners inward of the abutting ribs 10. Staples may supplement the above interconnections. The walls may be inclined outwardly or walls 2, 4 and end portions 6 of walls 3, 5 may be turned outwardly and upwardly to form stacking ledges. The walls and base may be strengthened by embossing or corrugating. [GB1240514A]
