Abstract

1280868 Two-part button TOGS INC 7 Oct 1969 [16 Oct 1968 25 April 1969] 49199/69 Heading A3H A two-part fastening device comprises a relatively resilient foundation member 62 having a central aperture with radial slits 64, and a button member 76 of relatively hard material having an integral stud projecting from its base, the stud having a neck 74 with a continuous shoulder disposed near the free end of the stud which is provided with projecting vanes 68, the arrangement being that the vanes are snap fitted through the slits in the foundation member and rotated to prevent withdrawal. The foundation member has holes for sewing it to a garment and the whole arrangement may be of plastics material. Three or four vanes and a corresponding number of radial slits may be used. One or more pairs of ridges 66 may be provided to retain the vanes in their rotated position. [GB1280868A]
