Abstract
1279874 Pesticides containing dinitrophenylethers CIBA-GEIGY AG 5 Dec 1969 [5 Dec 1968] 59610/69 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] Acarina or weeds are combatted with a dinitrophenyl-ether of formula: wherein R 1 is methyl, isopropyl, s-butyl, tbutyl, s-octyl, cyclohexyl or cyclopentyl; R 2 is H, an optionally halogen-substituted C 1-4 alkyl or alkenyl radical, a C 1-4 alkinyl radical, or phenyl optionally substituted by halogen, nitro or hydroxyl; and R 3 is H or methyl. A list of optional pesticidal components is given, and a composition of a dinitrophenyl-ether as above with N-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-N, N- dimethylformamidine is claimed.
