Abstract

1287086 Valves RUNTAL HOLDING CO SA 13 Aug 1970 [19 Aug 1969] 39113/70 Heading F2V [Also in Division F4] A valve for a single pipe heating system comprises a pipe 1 divided by an internal wall into feed and return conduits, and sealingly secured by a nut on its threaded end into a bore of a heating element 4 and a rotatable cylindrical cup-shaped control member 14 having an internal wall 15 and peripheral openings 16, 17 which can be moved relative to openings 12, 13 in the wall of the pipe 1 to vary the flow into and out of the heating element. A shaft 19 on the control member is connected to actuating knob 20. Angularly bent partitions 21, 22 divide the parallel-sided heating element into feed and discharge sides 23, 24. In use the pipe 1 is connected to a main pipe 2 having an orifice 11 therein for diverting fluid into the feed side of pipe 1. [GB1287086A]
