Abstract
1374367 2 - Amino - 2<SP>1</SP>,6<SP>1</SP> - propionoxylidide ASTRA PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS Inc 28 July 1972 [28 July 1971] 35481/72 Heading C2C The novel title compound and acid addition salts thereof are prepared by reacting a 2-halo- 2<SP>1</SP>,6<SP>1</SP>-propionoxylidide, wherein halo is Cl, Br or I, with ammonia, and, if desired, converting the resulting base into acid addition salts. Pharmaceutical compositions, suitable for oral or parenteral administration, contain the above novel compound or therapeutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof together with pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. The compound possesses antiarrhythmic properties.
