Abstract

1398759 Cable trunking; conduit boxes NORDISKE KABEL-OG TRAADFABRIKER AS 15 Nov 1972 [18 Nov 1971] 52813/72 Headings H2C and H2E A U-section cover panel 21 for electrical installations has a first flange 22 with a bead 24 for engagement in a groove 33 of a door or window frame. Near a second flange 31 remote from the frame a groove 29 or bead locks the panel to a matching bead 28 or groove of a support flange of a retaining member 25. The plate 26 of the retaining member 25 presents a slightly convex face towards the cover panel, so that when secured to a structure 38 it abuts the surface and lies flat. A guide flange 32 of the retaining member 25 fits in a recess 36 of the frame or wall. Preferably the retaining member 25 acts as an insulating duct for electrical installation equipment, and may be divided into channels by flanges 27. In a modification, Fig. 3 the retaining member 60 is extended to form a housing for electrical equipment, e.g. a socket or a switch 61. [GB1398759A]
