1397715 Containers for ice pieces STANDARD TELEFON OG KABELFABRIK AS 26 Jan 1973 [26 Jan 1972] 4101/73 Heading A4A [Also in Division F4] An open top container for receiving ice cubes is of rectangular cross-section with a base and four side walls 1, 2, 3, 4, there being projections 11 on the inner side of each of the side walls, the top face of each projection on each wall being at a distance from the open top of the container which decreases from one end of the wall to the other. As shown, the container, of plastics or metal, is provided with a step 5 in each side wall, the projections 11 extending upwardly from the step. The container may be used to empty a tray of frozen in situ ice cubes, the tray being upturned, placed in the container, and pressed down against the projections so that the tray is distorted and the cubes fall into the container. Containers may be stacked and the projections are said to facilitate subsequent separation. [GB1397715A]
